Landscape Cottage - instructions from Richard Schmid

I wanted to make you all aware of a great learning tool on the internet.  You can purchase DVDS and books by the great painter Richard Schmid, but did you know you could get monthly lessons with photos of each step.  Go to http://www.swatlandstudios.com/home.html and you can subscribe.  It is reasonably priced.  I am not often attracted to landscape, but I did enjoy doing this one and like the loose, fresh look of the strokes.  His limited palette is also very nice.

Windy Sisters NOW SOLD

I absolutely adore the texture of a palette knife painting.  This one, I think..., turned out well.  The photo was generously donated in the Wet Canvas reference library.  I would love to hear your thoughts on this one.  It is a 10 x 10 inch oil palette knife on rough cotton Raymar canvas.
