I struggle with still life subjects that I find interesting. I am just not that interested in painting a vase of flowers or a bowl of fruit. Not sure why this one interests me but I just enjoyed the simple shapes and the subtle colors.

A friend mentioned that it is difficult to find original art for children or baby rooms. This is my take on original art for that purpose.

Shelter Dogs Rule!

Back in November, my husband and I rescued Archie, an English Setter, who had spent his life tied to a tree before the owners took him to a shelter. When he came to us, he was a bit nervous but very sweet from day #1. Now he spends his days chasing squirrels and birds with our other setter Samantha. He has his own place on the sofa and eats the best Petsmart has to offer.
His eyes melt you and he is so appreciative for his new home. If you ever decide you want a dog, please consider the shelter dogs who will always appreciate your love. These pastel portraits are of Archie and NFS.
