In Celebration of Memorial Day

This painting will be displayed at the Brick Wall Gallery in Concord, North Carolina later this month and in July.  The gallery will be featuring works of art that have our nation's flag at the core of the subject matter.

Honorable Mention - Juried Exhibition

I am so excited and wanted to share my joy with my blogging friends.  The attached painting entitled "Oranges" won Honorable Mention at the Juried Show held at the Depot Brick Wall Gallery this month in Concord, North Carolina.  What a great surprise and honor!

Join Me at the Piedmont Pastel Society Juried Show

This pastel painting is one of my works in the show opening at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews next week.  The show is sponsored by the Piedmont Pastel Society.  Beautiful pastel works will be on display in the hospital's lobby.

I love the way this one turned out.  It is loose and free and very painterly.  The size is 5 inches square.  The colors are subtle but rich.  It is acrylic on gessoboard and for sale here.  There is a companion painting for this one as well.
